Exceedance based filtering, now built into Sampling Operations

Exceedance-based filtering is now built directly into Sampling Operations, enabling users to instantly identify samples where specific parameters exceed defined wastewater quality thresholds.

Sampling data is only valuable if teams can quickly identify what requires attention. Yet for many utilities and source control programs, reviewing exceedances still means exporting data, opening spreadsheets, and manually filtering results to find the few samples that actually matter.

That process slows response times and increases the risk of missing critical signals.

To remove this friction, we have introduced exceedance-based filtering directly within the Sampling Operation view.

With this new capability, users can filter samplings by exceeding parameters inside the platform. Once selected, the view updates show only samples where the chosen parameters exceeded their defined thresholds. There is no need to download files, open Excel, or manually sort through rows of data.

How it works

Using the new exceedance-based filter is simple and intuitive:

  1. Click “Add filter item” in the Sampling Operation view.

  2. Select “Exceeding Parameter” from the list of available filters.

  3. Choose one or more parameters you want to review from the exceedance list.

  4. Apply the filter to instantly display only samples where at least one of the selected parameters exceeded its threshold.

Users can combine this filter with existing criteria such as time range, site, area, or sampling status to create highly focused views. Filter configurations can also be saved, allowing teams to return to the same views without rebuilding them each time.

Designed for faster decisions

The result is a faster and more targeted review process. Analysts can move directly from data to insight. Source control teams can prioritize follow up actions with confidence. Operational teams can spend less time managing files and more time managing the network.

This update is another step toward reducing manual work and keeping intelligence where it belongs. Inside the platform, available in real time, and ready to support better decisions.

Enjoy!
